Equipollents Circe A piece is immediately reborn with the same displacement vector as the capturing move. (E.g. if white captures a piece on b3, starting from a1, the piece is reborn on c5)
Multicapture chess A piece (including the king) can only be captured when it is attacked at least twice.
Grid chess The board is subdivided in 16 small 2*2 squares. Every move must end in a different square than its starting point. (E.g. a pawn on c4 has only one possible move: a capture to b3. A pawn on a4 never has a legal move)
